2012 Beach Cottage Visit!

We had another great year at the beach. I didn't get to take many this year since I ran out of space. See pictures below.

I'm mom

I am sad this week. Ryan starting calling me mom this week. Not mommy, mom. Ryan keeps getting older for some reason. Below are some pictures from our mother's day weekend at Canyon of the Eagles.

Peyton discovers you tube

Peyton at 2 years old has discovered youtube. What is worse is her sense of humor is a little morbid. Her favorite video that she asks constantly to watch is this family guy clip about a dead frog. Power point and ice cream

Ryan asked to build a power point last night. I come back in hours later and he had all these facts about sports, full animation and graphics. I didn't learn this until my 30ths. Feeling old.

Funny story on Peyton. I took the kids to yogurtville today after Ryan's game to celebrate him getting a goal. I gave Jordan and Ryan each a cup to fill with whatever ice cream they wanted. I grabbed one for Peyton but she didn't realize it. I wasn't watching because I was helping the older two. She had ran all the way back to where the cups were and grabbed one for herself and brought it back to me and said "mommy ice cream, mommy ice cream". She is only 2 years old! She is so independent..I think she is already to move out.

The Cowboys wins or loss determines the mood in the house

Shawn and Ryan watched the game at Opa's house and came home late.  Ryan comes home crying and wants a hug because of the loss. Shawn came home in a bad mood about the loss and took it out on me and got  upset because the kitchen and the poster for Jordan's MVP day at school was not picked up.  Shawn started complaining and I was quickly getting irritated.  Ryan saw the two of us bickering about it.  I think I said something like..."fine I won't pick up the stuff, you pick it up Shawn".  All of the sudden Ryan starts laughing.  I look at him and ask why are you laughing?  "Because you and daddy sound like Jordand and I. "  We did sound like them!! Ha.  Shawn and I ofcourse laugh.  Thanks Ryan for changing the mood!:-)

Ryan is famous!

Ryan was asked to participate in a video for all of Plano ISD. He was the only 2nd grader out of the entire district to participate in the video. I asked him what his friends said about it. He said they said - "Ryan you are famous!"Constitution video - click here

Sports Center at 7!

Is it normal that my child gets up early for school and turns on sports center at 7 years old! He is Shawn born again - a sports alcholic at 7. Ryan's poor wife.

Recent conversations with Ryan (the voice of reason)

Ryan (hungry): "Mommy, check the oven, check the oven, check the oven, check the oven"

Mommy: "Ryan the timer has 5 more minutes

Ryan: "check the oven, check the oven, check the oven"

Mommy (annoyed that Ryan keeps wining and saying this over and over): "Ryan please stop saying that time still has time on the clock until the food is done. What would you do if I was standing right by you saying the same thing over and over again asking me to check the oven?"

Ryan logically answers: "I would check the oven".

I couldn't do anything bought laugh at this

First Day of School!

Jordan' started Kindergarten this week! Ryan is now in second grade. I can't believe it. Ryan told me that morning - "Two down, one to go!". Jordan had a pretty good week. She got to see all of her friends from the neighboorhood at PASAR (after school care). I remember when Ryan started kindergarten he told me his favorite part of the day was PASAR - made me feel better about sending him to after school program. On Friday, she got a little scared since at lunch she didn't get to sit with any friends from class. She said she looked around and didn't know anybody at the table and they were all staring at her. She started to cry and the teacher sat next to her through the rest of the lunch. So sad! She will have tons of friends in no time!

We had a great vacation at the beach this year. Spent great times with family and friends and even made some new friends this year.
