The protective brother
Ryan is so protective of Peyton and he is nuts about her. He says she is the best baby ever. Everytime she cries Ryan makes sure that mommy knows and thinks I must do something about it immediately.:-) Also there was an incident where Shawn and are were running around the house looking for Ryan's uniform and Ryan and Jordan were downstairs with the baby. Jordan was singing to Peyton and touching her head. Ryan screams - mommy and daddy Jordan is touching the baby's head. I look down and it was very gentle, and I said it is fine Ryan. He doesn't take this answer, he keeps telling us over and over and we keep saying it is fine Ryan. He finally just gives up and in desperation - thinking we aren't caring or listening to him - he says - "fine! just let Jordan touch the head!"(in this tone - implying - I give up just touch her head and she will get hurt and it will be because no one was listening to him). Very sweet, Ryan.
What do you want to be when you grow up?

Ryan - "When I grow up, I want to have a son and I will buy him a skate board and me a skate board and we will skate board together". "Jordan - what do you want to be when you grow up?"
Jordan - "A doctor" - (Jordan btw, likes doctors but hates nurses since they give the shots)
mommy - "Ryan what do you want to be?"
Ryan - "A police man and I want 4 kids - 2 boys and 2 girls."

Peyton Elise Dvoracek is here!
After being overdue, Peyton is finally here! Peyton Elise Dvoracek was born on March 2nd at 2pm - 7lbs 15 oz, 20 inches. Jordan and Ryan are very excited. They couldn't wait for her to get home. They were both a little scared of mommy being in a hospital bed.
Ryan is the one that picked out the name Peyton when I was around 6 months pregnant. There is a girl in his kindergarten class with this name and Ryan and I both agreed it was a great name and it stuck with Ryan from that day on. Jordan still hasn't agreed that this is her name. She wants to call the baby Miss Myra which is her preschool teachers name.
Ryan and Jordan have all kinds of interesting questions. When Jordan arrived the second day at the hospital and before she saw her, she asked us "is she still little?". I am sure there will be many more interesting questions to come!

Snow!
It snowed ALL day today. We had 8 inches which is really unusual for us. It is suppose to be ice tomorrow and schools are cancelled. Check out the big snowman that Shawn and the kids built, a rare thing here in Texas!

Keep your eyes on your fries
Last night Oma picked up McDonalds for the kids. Ryan over the last several months almost since he started kindergarten has been eating a lot more lately. Maybe it is something with kindergarten or the age of 6 not sure. Here is what happened last night.
Both kids sit down to eat their happy meal. Jordan then tells me that she needs to go potty, which is always a really long ordeal. She likes to socialize while she goes potty and each step is a slow process. When she returns to her seat, she starts bawling...
Mommy: "Jordan what is wrong? I can't understand you. Calm down so I can understand."
Jordan: "Ryan ate my french fries!"
Mommy: I look over and sure enough their is not a single french fry left in the package. I am trying to decide whether to laugh or to yell at Ryan.
Ryan ends up getting in trouble and I ask him to apologize to Jordan. I say to Ryan: "Why would you do this?"
Ryan: "I was still hungry so I didn't know what to do"
Mommy: "Apologize to Jordan"
Ryan: "I am sorry Jordan"
Jordan: "It is ok, it was an accident."

9th month of pregnancy!
Almost to the end! We are excited to meet our new little girl. I am a little miserable but who isn't when they are 9 months pregnant! Not getting much sleep especially when the baby gets the hiccups which she has right now as I am typing. Lots of braxton hicks (these have been going on though since 7 months) and lots waddling.:-) But, all good stuff. We have pulled out all the hand me downs and have everything setup ready to go. So, when she is ready we are. Well...let me clarify, the kids and I am ready. Shawn is still in complete denial that we have a newborn that will be moving in very soon. :-) I am hoping he picks a name before she gets here. Ryan and I have made our decision, just waiting on Daddy at this point.
P.S. Happy birthday Mom.

Girlfriends
Conversation at dinner tonight
Ryan: "Am I old enough to have a girlfriend?"
Daddy: "Who is your girlfriend?"
Ryan: "I don't know"
Jordan: "I'll be your girlfriend, Ryan because I am beautiful"
Shawn and I were laughing so hard at this we were in tears

Christmas 2009
We had a great Christmas this year. Lots of Company - My dad and Karen stayed for a week and Bridget and the family came in for a few days after Christmas. I couldn't travel due to the pregnancy so everyone came to us. The kids really had a blast this year with the decorating and ofcourse they couldn't wait for Santa to get here. Ryan asked Santa for a boat this year and a checker board. Jordan asked for a pink hippo and princess. Jordan likes the "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" song. So, I think that was her inspiration.
Jordan's 4th Birthday
We celebrated Jordan's birthday the weekend before Christmas. We had just a small gathering of family, the Ligon's, Feather's and Wilburns. The kids had a blast and Jordan loved all the bling and girly toys that she got!
Ryan's 6th Birthday
Ryan had a week long Birthday celebration. We had a party for him at a bowling alley the weekend before and then celebrated the day after Thanksgiving by going to the zoo with Uncle Ray, my dad, Karen and the Mansells. Ryan loved it! It was a great week!
